Oh My Eyes Hurt From Chronic Dry Eyes

Chronic dry eye problem is caused, when tears produced by the eyes are insufficient to moisturize and protect the eyes. There are some environmental factors, which are responsible for chronic dry eyes problems such as weather, pollution and dust. When people suffer from chronic dry eyes problems, they experience problems such as continuous irritation in eyes, inflammation and a feeling of pricking in eyes.

Severe dry eyes problem is one of the most frequent difficulties faced by many people who are working on a computer. The most common symptoms of this problem is burning , itching, irritation , redness, blurred vision that improves with blinking , excessive tearing and increasing discomfort after periods of reading , watching TV, or working on a computer.

There are some symptoms, which are helpful to determine if a person is suffering from this complaint such as feeling unpleasantness in the eyes , feeling of presence of foreign object in the eyes, or feeling redness and excessive tearing are the most common reasons that helps a person to determine if he is suffering from chronic dry eyes.

Some people may feel continuous pain in their eyes and other similar discomfort symptoms. These are the most common chronic eye symptoms. Sometimes due to lack of tear production people feel strain in their eyes. This is also a common symptom of dry eyes.

There are treatments and guidelines, which help people to get relief from dry eye such as using watery treatments, artificial tears and other dry eye solutions. It is important to understand that proper eye care for this ailment is little different from other eye treatments many people may feel relief after using artificial tears on regular basis. Some of the treatments are watery and alleviate the symptoms temporary. For others preservative free tears are recommended because they are most gentle and have fewer additives that would potentially irritate. It has been recommended by doctors not to use products that whiten eyes because they do not have sufficient lubricating qualities and they can make problem even more severe.

Consistent eye care is essential to get relief from dry eyes; this may improve irritation from sore eyes. Blinking eyes frequently may help to care for the eyes when a person is reading or watching television. It is not recommended by eye physician to rub itched eyes because it only worsens the irritation.
